Collaborator Noy Cohen visits the Valentine Lab

Profs. Valentine and Cohen have a joint project to develop hydrogel materials for cellular force sensing, funded through a binational award of the US and Israeli National Science Foundations (NSF-BSF).

Professor Noy Cohen visted UC Santa Barbara from the Department of Materials Science & Engineering at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa Israel.  While at UCSB, Noy met with Prof. Valentine, Yongkui Tang, and collaborator Claus Eisenbach to advance our joint research, toured our facilities, and met with students and faculty engaged in soft materials research

Prof. Cohen also presented an overview of his group's work on using 3D printing methods to understand and control hydrogel swelling for actuation to the Materials Research Laboratory, an NSF MRSEC.
