Valentine Lab hosts Hacktive Matter 2025
Three DMREF teams along with researchers from the BioPACIFIC MIP develop HTP analysis approaches for material characterization
The Valentine Lab hosted a 3-day hackathon to develop software and analysis approaches to characterize biological materials and living composites. Faculty and trainees from UC Santa Barbara, the University of San Diego, Rochester Institute of Technology, and Penn State participated.
Our hackathon platform supports training in data science, FAIR standards, and common frameworks for describing and disseminating materials innovations to accelerate and democratize materials discovery and optimization.
You can learn more about our interactive and discovery-based hackathon model in our recent paper in Soft Matter.
